Who is responsible for your data

Fior Research is operated by Aoiffe Corcoran, PhD, based in Manchester, UK. I am the data controller for any personal data submitted through this website, and I can be reached at aoiffe@fiorresearch.com.

What this website collects

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or tracking pixels. Simply reading these pages leaves no personal data with me.

The only personal data I receive is what you choose to enter into the enquiry form: your name and email address, and, if you complete the optional fields, your organisation and the message you write.

Why I hold it, and on what basis

Your details are used for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, if we go on to work together, to arrange and deliver that work. They are not used for marketing, not added to a mailing list, and never sold or shared with third parties.

The lawful basis is legitimate interest, responding to someone who has deliberately contacted a business about its services, and, where an engagement follows, performance of a contract.

Who else can see it

Form submissions are emailed to me directly by this website’s own hosting server. No third-party form service is used, and no one else has access.

Material you send me for review is via email and treated as confidential. It will not be shared with anyone.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within twelve months. Where an engagement follows, records are kept for six years after it ends, to meet UK accounting and tax requirements.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Email me and I will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

This notice was last updated in September 2026. If the way this site handles data changes, for example if analytics were ever added, this page will be updated before that change takes effect.
